Douglas Quaid “When I bought this book, I expected some great problems to study off of and learn new ways of getting the correct answer to questions. Most of the questions are very difficult as expected, but the explanations didnt help me understand the material. I take the GRE soon and this book was a waste of time and money for me. My advice, get magoosh, kaplan or princeton review books as preparation. I studied 4-6 hours a day for a month and still not getting teh correct answers after studying, taking and reviewing the answers to questions. Book is also unneccessarily long and tedious. Some of the questions had terrible answers as I do not agree with the answers chosen as correct. There are also extremely difficult questions to comprehend in reading comprehension sections. The mathematics portion have simple questions that are very tricky and ultimately, I get the wrong answer. This includes the geomerty, algebra and calculus questions.
As I started to go thru the middle of the book, trickier and tricker questions started to appear and the explanations were even tricker to decipher. Another issue is the vocabulary section, I didnt even understand the definitions for 2-3 of the 6 choices given. You would need a section in the book that would lay out all or most of the GRE vocabulary for memorization purposes. After reading thru this whole book, I feel like I will get below 10 percentile.”
Dennis “I’ll tell you the worst part of the book: Logic Based Reading Comprehension. It is full of garbage questions and equally useless explanations, which is ironic since that is the “logic” section of the Verbal test. Nothing is logical about that section. Other people also seem to share the same opinion as I do.

Pros:
– Exhaustive book covering every single math concept on the GRE
-Each chapter starts with easy questions and gradually gets more difficult when you approach Q20 and above!
-explanation are in the back but sometimes I had to look online for additional explainations.
-Really helped me understand how I was poorly prepared and after spending a month or so studying 4-5 hours a day, My math really improved
-VERY CLEARLY LAYED OUT
Cons:
-really heavy so looking for a solution to a problem can get annoying.
– I did not care for the online service. Super annoying that you cannot advance to any lesson you want, You have to actually do the prior chapters if u want to unlock the more advanced material.
– The verbal section is absolutely awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR VERBAL PRACTRICE. This book EXCELS at Math but is terrible for verbal learning in my opinion.
Overall:
This book really helped me get on track and taking a chapter a day is a great approach, if you travel frequently and take your work with you, the E-book will be a much better experience than lugging around a 5 lb book when you only need to study a specific chapter. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR QUANT”
