Great Resource for Re-entry to Nursing

I am reentering nursing practice (as an LVN) after nearly 14 years out of service. A lot has changed since I practiced in Texas… this handy booklet has been extremely helpful while taking a nursing refresher course and will be helpful as I transition to an ADN RN program.
The tabs (see the pics) are helpful to find the info needed quickly for different assessments, treatments, proposed nursing diagnoses, etc.
Highly recommend this compact-pocket edition for any nurse which desires to increase their skills and knowledge.

A lot of good info but the type is SO SMALL!
I really wish it came with a digital download or kendal version as well, at least a discount. I work nights and there’s no way I can read this bedside.

As a retired RN, I watched with increasing dismay at the insanity of this unfolding national disaster. While my training in no way put me in the position to totally refute the advice of leading medical experts, I have enough knowledge and training to question many of strangely conflicting and medically improbable directives. It was devastating to realize the medical system, which I worked and trusted for many years, was political and was not willing to risk the displeasure of the ruling class and do what is right for their patients and the country.
Dr Atlas has been the target by that ruling class because he has consistently spoken the truth with common sense. He refused to buy into the ridiculous hysteria of the pandemic porn but kept to the real science and data as available. This book is a clear and readable account of the Trump era pandemic.

I don’t even know where to begin. In 2017 I went through chemotherapy for B-cell Lymphoma. In February 2020, at 59 y.o., I had COVID-19. I thought it was just my usual winter “smokers” bronchitis but it kept getting worse and after 2 weeks I finally went to my doctor following a severe coughing spell and Icouldn’t catch my breath. Doc checked me out, gave me antibiotics and an inhaler and sent me home. It took weeks to regain my strength.
Thank you for giving me the information that I need to talk to people about how the politicos used the pandemic to create a society of hate and shame for not drinking the kool-ade. I have not been tested but March 2021 I asked my doctor to check antibodies since they were doing blood work anyway, I still had antibodies! My new doc insists that I need the shot as, in Fauci’s words “We just don’t know…” how much protection they will give you.
This book, which I read in a day, just reaffirmed what I have been saying all along. Follow the money and you’ll see.

Atlas’s book (thank god he sat down to write it!) provides a brutally honest history of not only his time at the Trump White House but the fiasco of the entire pandemic, with a special focus on the insanity of lockdowns, closures, stat-home orders, capacity restrictions, and the entire quack program of “mitigation measures” design to control the virus that achieved nothing good for public health and tremendous amounts to wreck it. It’s an epidemiological lesson much needed in unscientific and dark times. It is also a riveting account of absolute sociological pathology inside government and public health. In particular, this book is a remarkable story of a president betrayed by creepy and deeply ignorant advisors. Yes, Atlas names names. This book is so strong and well argued that it goes a very long way toward correcting the false accounts written by people who do not know the science and were not there to experience it all. There is simply no way fully to understand the chaos of the last 21 months without access to this impressive book.
