I enjoyed this book. It’s different from Gannon’s other works (i.e. small town romance) and she does a fantastic job with it. In all honesty, I pre-ordered it, without reading the description because her work is always getting better.
This book is similar to the first in her Pine Cove series, where it’s insta-lust/love between the hero and heroine. Though this time, we get the male perspective! The dual POVs round the story out nicely. This book is nicely sexy
Tessa is a delightful character; life has thrown her some curve balls, but she keeps at it and continues her passion for dancing.
Alec is different from Gannon’s usual male leads. One) he’s in the mafia; two) kidnapping doesn’t bother him. I enjoyed his perspective because it gives insight to his actions. There are times where it seems the mark for alpha male is missed where he comes off as more of a petulant child rather than a confident adult.

All in all, it’s an entertaining, worthwhile read. I’m excited for the next book!

I just finished reading this amazing, gritty, captivating, and beautiful story! This is my first time reading from this author and she got me goodt! I just stumbled upon this AH-MAZING story! Tessa is a amazing dancer! She is fierce, smart, beautiful, and alone. She is doing everything she can to survive. She is sweets woman. She just couldn’t help it. Tessa is brave and stands her ground. I love her! I felt every single emotion from her throughout the story. Alex is the King! Period! He is sexy, dark, mysterious, and twisted. I love every second of learning him. He a very interesting character. He is evasive and very protective of his love ones. He shows his devotion through action. Rebecca, girl you totally freaking amazing! This story is unlike anything I read so far. I love this world so much and baby you deliver it in tenfold. Amazing work Rebecca Gannon!😍

A very good, well written,Hot & Steamy Mafia Romance with the exception to what happened to Enzo. There was absolutely no reason for this needless killing!!! The entire book, Alec prided himself in his self-control because a lack thereof showed weakness. Yet, he hauled off and shot Enzo right in front of Tessa after he repeatedly said he wanted to protect her from the “darkness” of his life. That part didn’t flow with what Alec professed to be or want. I could even rationalize what happened to James, as sad & terrible as it was. But not Enzo. This is my first time to read a book by Rebecca Gannon. I will read the next story in this series. Although, I would have liked to have seen an epilogue. 💜

I would give this more stars if I could! WOW! Alec and Tessa really have the chemistry from page one to the final one. Tessa is the only family member remaining and is very somber and sad. She works three jobs – waitress, ballet dance teacher and just recently a dancer for the casino on Friday nights. She has a darkness in her that she only allows herself to express in her dance, which of course catches Alec’s eye. He starts sending her black roses after performances and then expensive jewelry along with them. The heat is there between them before they even meet. You must read to follow their journey and feel the heat for yourself. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review but I will definitely be purchasing the rest of the series.

It’s an ok book. It’s predictable in It’s supposed surprises and the sex scenes are not described well, they feel anemic, but the author does an excellent job of creating characters you care about. But, when compared to some really great authors and books that were truly enjoyable, so much so that I didn’t want them to end, I realized I didn’t feel the same way about this book. It just brought out a “meh” feeling when it ended, never a great sign.

Casino King had me spellbound from the first chapter to the last. The story was so inspiring that I didn’t want to put my Kindle down. Alec fell hard for Tessa after a chance watching of her dancing in his casino. He became obsessed with her and started leaving her black roses and jewelry after her Friday night performance. She was instantly attracted to the man who was partially hid in the corner. All she knew he was always there and leave her a note a present later. Tessa was attacked on the night he had to be out of town on business and they finally met face to face. His obsession caused him to kill her bodyguard because he felt he failed to protect her. Tessa had lost her parents when they were killed when a truck driver couldn’t stop his truck. Her brother took care of her but he was killed in a drive by shooting after a hit had been put out on him by Alec. He learned later that he had killed her brother which caused issues for them and led to her kidnapping by the Triads. A beautiful story with a beautiful HEA. It is worth reading.

It was a OK story initially. I liked how she was developing the characters and instant mysterious romance. But the heroine had NO backbone. It made me want to shake her and get it together the d#@! Isn’t that good. Maybe the older brother will be better. But I have read many better mafia books

It seems like I have read this book before, but according to the publication date it’s new. Smh
Anyway, this is a good story of possessiveness, obsession, scorching sex, criminal activity and more. Alec is a stone cold alpha male who will do anything to keep his woman safe, even kill. At times you want to never forgive his actions but Tessa’s obsession with him never allowed it.
