Excellent for hospitalists

I got the Kindle version and I read it on both my iPhone 7s and my Kindle Voyage. It is an excellent quick resource for all the hematology problems that I encounter as a hospital based physician. I have not read much of the oncology half of the book, but it appears to be very well written also. I highly recommend it for hospitalists, residents, and PCP’s. It is very up to date as of the date of my review.

The amount of information packed in this small handbook is amazing

I’m a hospice and Palliative care fellow. Purchased the book just before starting my oncology rotation and I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. The content is excellent and the amount of information packed in this small handbook is amazing. Overall the book is very clinically oriented and easily approachable for non heme/onc specialists. I can easily imagine it being a very useful resource for residents. Probably one of the best handbooks in Washington’s subspecialty consult series. Highly recommended.

Print is blurry.

Received the book today, which from what I can tell, is a good book, however the printing on some of the pages is blurred, which makes it hard to read and causes headache. Also, book came damaged.

Concise but very informative clinical haematology reference book

Dislikes: some of the chapters do not focus in detail on haematological science and the print letters are awful small;
Likes: For a concise book of about 500 pages, there’s a wealth of clinical information and state-of-the-art medical updates on haematological malignancies such as CLL and NHL, great resource book to manage anaemia and thrombocytopaenia, best part is that it is very readable and comprehensible even for a non-medical student or a patient who has at least 2-3 years of biological sciences education and experience.
