Was assigned for a class. Really a waste as although it could possibly be used as a reference manual, for reading and trying to absorb some information from there is really a waste of space. I really don’t need to be told that I need consent when I’m reading about every test in the book. There are numerous things that are repeated and just take up space and therefore time when trying to read it.

When I bought it, I thought it was going to be the size of a normal textbook, but it’s actually half the size of a normal textbook, but it’s thick. No complains there; I was just surprised. The book seems to be well divided and easy to navigate. I bought it because my clinical instructor for nursing school, suggested we buy this book. Can’t wait to use it next semester!

There are better lab books. This one is good for the usual lab values but is not very descriptive in the values that are more patient specific. I’m in nursing school and my friends seems to have better resources than this one is. I end up having to still google things which was what I bought the book for to begin with

The book is pretty good but it is hard to find information even w/ the search function. Page numbers would be very helpful especially if your professor is only assigning you page numbers…or else you’ll be up all night figuring w/c page you are really looking at…

I received this book this past week and was excited to use it. Upon opening it and trying to find information on bilirubin tests/blood levels, I came to the realization that my book is missing pages 145-176. It jumps from page 144 right to page 177. I hope to get a refund or a book that is properly put together.

I can’t say this book is bad, but it doesn’t give me the information I’m looking for. I want to know when to use contrast or not, or which tests will tell me what it looks for or it’s limitations. It gives some of that, but not enough, not practical when in the clinic setting. Also difficult to search in quickly

This book is FANTASTIC!! It is so full of useful and relevant information while still being concise. This will definitely be one of my go-to books during my NP practicum.

Edited to add: I pulled this out during my rotation and my preceptor (who is very experienced) loved it too!
