I chose this rating because of the awesome characters and the unique writing of the author. Who wouldn’t laugh at the crazy way they refer to sex acts and crazy s***. I’d recommend this book and the whole series who loves to have it all in a book. Humor, suspence and the HEA.

Fox is sent to kill pippa but once he meets her there is no way. Pippa is just hiding out from the jones cartel but she could really use a man but she isn’t to get involved with anyone. Now they need to find a way to save her and get him out from under the cartel. So enjoy the read just another good book in this series ! !

Not choir boys by any stretch, these guys live in a world where their territory, their brothers and protecting those they care about is their life’s work. With several stand-out characters, these are people you want in your corner.

Shelter from the Storm brings us back to Pure and Easy. A new arrival in town with a knack for chemistry, Pippa has found the members of the club, and they are unlike anyone she’s ever known. Smart, feisty and daring, her identity is fake but her biochem degree from Harvard provides the perfect entrée into Lytton’s dispensary– A Joint System. Known for his potent product with unique flavor combinations, Pippa’s experience fits right in, and she’s now a new staff member with a price on her head.

Fox was supplanted on a mission from his own cartel manager by the always amusing Santiago. When his failure to kill his target become known, Jones offers him an option: go to New Mexico for a job, or remove a female that is scheduled to testify against the cartel. What he doesn’t realize is just how this woman will turn his life around, and make him a new target.

Oh this was fun: both Fox and Pippa have wonderful voices: neither is afraid to stand up for themselves. Never one to trust instantly, especially with her current situation, she’s slowly building a new life, and is testing the waters with The Bare Bones. She’s met several of the women who are ‘important’ to the guys, and scoffs at the appearance of their subservience and submission to their men. Oh does she have some revelations coming to her – and possibly a new love…

Different from others in this series – while Fox and Pippa have to work through and learn to trust in one another on the way to a commitment, the tone is laced with humor and some laugh out loud moments. Of course, Santiago’s reappearance (although the first time I’ve met him) is so very clever – his style and approach to life make him an over-the-top Miami Vice styled playboy: disarming and charming set dressing that masks the dangerous man beneath. Checking in with other characters from earlier books and seeing their lives progress while this new threat to the club shows the strength in this series – the relationships. Love, friendship, loyalty and a sense that within this circle – one is protected. Wolfe doesn’t skimp on the story– it’s raw and action packed, with more time developing the relationship. You don’t HAVE to have read the earlier books in the story – but it won’t hurt you one bit. These are characters that are worth the time to see the development and progression of the club and its members.
