I appreciate the style layout of the book. This is not my first Ayurvedic book. The layout, organization and illustrations contribute to the easy of what can be a deep and complex subject matter. I recently used many of the recipes to cater a weekend yoga retreat that asked for an Ayurvedic menu. The only fuss I had was some recipes called for Agave as a sweetener. In my opinion, agave is a highly processed food and not aligned with whole foods. I subsituted maple syrup or honey. Otherwise it is a well rounded beautiful resource. I would recommend it also as a nice gift.

This book is truly phenomenal. The way it is organized helps the reader get the most out of it. It doesn’t just dump information into categories. Each section starts you off with an overview then gets into details about each part. Everything is given in digestible bites so it’s easily processed by the reader, making it practical and easy to incorporate into daily life (which is the goal). For example, it provides an outline of a morning routine then details on what to do for each aspect of that routine. Or an overview of asanas and pranayama then follows up in the next pages with details and illustrations for each pose. The graphics also help immensely, not just for entertainment and attention purposes, but they are actually valuable and add to the knowledge you are given. Highly recommend.
