Sarah Seidel “This was a really cute book. The pictures were cute and fun to color. But, when it came to cutting, it was too tough for my 3 year old. However, it would be great for a pre-kindergarten student or for the beginning of the kindergarten year. I liked that the beginning pages had practice lines and cutting of shapes. But, most of the animal or objects to cut out were curved or had some small details to cut. I definitely thought it was high quality, thick paper. So, I would buy this, but not for a 3 year old. I would wait until 4.”
Amethystgoddess “I bought this for my newly 4 year old for the pandemic while we “homeschool”. It’s a cute book with lots of fun activities. He’s a little young for scissors, I guess, and he struggles with it. So I will save it and try again in a few months. It’s probably best for older kids, 4 1/2 or 5, who understand how to use scissors. My kiddo isn’t quite there yet.”
Yuririn “This book is nothing special. This is worse than $1 coloring book. The paper quality is same as $1 coloring book and just lines and shapes on it. At the end of pages are just random empty pages! Don’t waste your money! Just draw some lines on papers and let your kids learn how to cut! Nathalie lete craft book is better. Cute illustrations and better quality papers.”

Diana B. “I am not happy with this product. Two stars were generous and hopeful …perhaps other children and parents will get something out of this.

I have a learning challenged 4 year old and a preschooler. There were no challenges and nothing really interesting to do. Some examples: One page has flowers. After cutting up into the page to cut three straight stems, that’s it. I could have drawn lines on a page rather than purchase this [and I do draw lines on pages but thought this book would have better ideas.] Two, another page has a cat face. Once cutting into the page for three straight whiskers on each side, that was it. I thought about cutting out the cat face and gluing it to something, but still, not interesting. There are some squiggle lines to cut, and other animal faces to cut around.

I’ll figure out something to do that make these pages more interesting and with a purpose.”

Krys C “Would have loved to see this with perforated pages, easy to tear out for classroom use or even home use. Slightly dificult to practice cutting different angles (age 2.5 & 4.5) while attatched to the “heavy” book. But other than that, it has great content! Glad I bought 2 copies, 1 for each child. Lots of simple lines to start with, and then it moves up in difficulty after the beginning practice.

Age group listed on the cover seems accurate at 3-5. My 2.5 has not yet started this book, but my 4.5 has had a great time with the first several pages.
Miss A B “This is a brilliant book for my 3 year old who is currently scissor-mad. As a bonus, most of the pages can be coloured in before cutting to make the activity last longer. The book starts off with simpler/easier activities and moves on to harder ones.
I have been photocopying the pages so that they can be reused for my younger daughter and am planning to take some sheets with me when we go travelling to keep my daughter occupied. Photocopying the sheets also makes it easier for my daughter to use them as the pages cannot be removed from the book very easily.”
