Karen Frazier is an author who writes books about nutrition, cooking, and holistic healing. She served as a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, and nutrition adviser for many years. In that capacity, Karen helped clients find diet and exercise plans that worked for them based on their unique health needs. Diagnosed with celiac disease, a dairy allergy, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Karen used her knowledge of nutrition, flavor, and fitness to find the best ways to eat and move for her body. If you are dealing with thyroid issues then you know the basic information of your illness. The entire beginning rehashes everything you can find about hypothyroidism online absolutely FREE! I feel like I completely wasted my time and efforts downloading this. Quite literally, I found everything she talked about in articles all over the internet. The meal plans? Again a repeat of things I have found FREE online. Sighhhh So I guess I know what I need to do. Don’t bother, really! Just use your browser and find articles and meal plans for hypothyroidism.

Good book, I followed the plan for the first week and lost 10 pounds, of course it was mostly water weight, but was a real boost to my desire to loose some weight, inflammation and treat my thyroid problem. I have a long way to go, but I am getting ready to start over with week one. The only issue I had is that some times there would be an ingredient in a recipe that was not listed on the grocery list.

Information in book seems more personal experience and repeat of media articles like claims made in Facebook and email ads or magazine articles. Not saying the information is wrong or not interesting, it just isn’t new or expanded information if you have already read other sources.

In theory it sounds good but what to eat recommended isn’t appetizing. I also bought the cookbook and was disappointed in it.
