User Reviews For Clinical Scenarios in Surgery PDF
- My only regret is that I did not find out about this textbook sooner in my career (ie. medical school or intern year of general surgery residency). It is an excellent adjunct and an excellent textbook in it’s own right. A must read for every general surgeon in addition to textbooks like Schwartz, Greenfield, or Cameron.
The cases are broad based and thorough, detailed workup and thought processes behind treatments are described as well as common must know procedures.
Just an excellent book, cannot wait for the next addition. I hope they keep adding more and more cases with the same depth.
This book will cover about 70-80% of what you need to know. Some chapters, like redo parathyroidectomy seem excessive, especially in an age where a graduating general surgeon will almost certainly not do a redo by themselves or without endocrine fellowship. I used it as the basis of a series of ABSITE lectures for junior residents, like it alot
I used this for preparing for my oral boards, in addition to taking the Osler course. I found this WAY more helpful, and at one tenth the price of Osler! I read a lot of other books for the boards, and this is by far the best (I passed my boards, btw). Highly recommended!
